Elders

Dr. Dave Kiehn

Lead Pastor/Elder

Dave Kiehn serves as the Lead Pastor of Park Baptist Church, a role he has held since July 2012. He holds a B.A. in Intellectual History from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Masters of Divinity and Ph.D. in North American Missiology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Kiehn is also the author of over ten books. He is married to Ellen, and they have three children: Elizabeth, John David, and Olivia.

Rev. Daniel Huddleston

Associate Pastor of Administration and Training/Elder

Daniel Huddleston is an Elder and the Associate Pastor for Administration and Training. He served as a Lay Elder for a year before coming on staff in 2022. Daniel married his wife, Jen, in May of 2006. Together they have three daughters: Hannah, Chloe, and Lily. Daniel is currently working on his Master's degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, loves Dodgers baseball, and is an avid night owl.

Rev. Grant Hinson

Associate Pastor/Elder

Grant Hinson is an Elder and Associate Pastor at Park Baptist Church. He joined our staff in 2019. Grant is married to our Women’s Ministry Director, Amber, and together they have four children: Asher, Evan, Adah, and Esther. Grant enjoys spending time with his family and working outside. He also likes to watch Charlotte Hornets basketball and thinks he could be their general manager!

Rev. John Whitaker

Assistant Pastor of College and Youth/Elder

John “Whit” Whiteaker is the Assistant Pastor of College and Youth Ministry and an Elder at Park Baptist Church. He joined our staff in 2018 and became an Elder in 2023. Whit has been married to his wife, Jamie, since May of 2016. They have two boys: Levi and Ezra. Whit is a Rock Hill native, and loves spending time outside with his family. He also loves discipling, evangelizing, and has a heart for the nations.

Jennie Shellenberger

Children's Ministry Director

Jennie Shellenberger is the Children’s Ministry Director at Park Baptist. She served in this role as a volunteer for many years before coming on staff in 2018. Jennie married her husband, Bobby, in August of 2003. They have six children: Tess, Timothy, Taralyn, Toby, Tori and Titus. Jennie started teaching a weekly church preschool class with her mom while a freshman in college, and has been hooked on children’s ministry ever since.

Carrie Blankenship

Church Administrator

Carrie Blankenship has served as our Church Administrator since February 2016. Carrie is married to Jack Blankenship, who is the Campus Minister at the Winthrop BCM. They have been married since August 2001, and have four children: Caleb, Noah, Josiah, and Eden. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys spending time with her family, especially camping in their pop-up camper with their golden retriever, Aubie.

Amber Hinson

Women’s Ministry Director

Amber Hinson is our Women’s Ministry Director here at Park Baptist Church. She has served in this position for us since August of 2022. Amber is married to Grant Hinson, our Associate Pastor. They have been married since June 2007 and have four children: Asher, Evan, Adah, and Esther. Amber is a Nurse Practitioner and is currently working as the Coordinator at a local women’s shelter. One of her greatest joys is serving the underserved alongside her family.
